OZ ROCK CONCERT READY TO GO!

Final preparations are now underway for the very first a day on the green at Petersons Winery, Armidale on Saturday March 10.
With about 6000 music fans attending, the concert has been an overwhelming success with promoters Roundhouse Entertainment keen to make it an annual event.
Patrons are attending from all over the New England region with all accommodation and camping grounds completely booked out in Armidale, as well as in nearby towns Guyra and Uralla.
They will enjoy the music of Noiseworks, Ian Moss, Ross Wilson, Richard Clapton, Dragon and Choirboys providing a musical feast of classic Oz Rock hits. Acclaimed for their songs, musical expertise and brilliant live performances, it will be first-class quality music across the whole day in a great value-for-money concert.
And to make sure the good vibes continue all day, there's no-one quite like a day on the green's resident DJ and party master Grand Master Baitz. Armidale music fans will have the pleasure of meeting the Grand Master, who spins the tracks between acts at all a day on the green events across the country. The good vibrations and extremely funky multi-outfit changes of Grand Master Baitz are not to be missed!
Organisers are also calling for everyone attending to join in the spirit of the day and dress in their very best Aussie-themed gear. All the top contestants will be shown on the video screens during the afternoon, with the winner receiving a fantastic Aussie food hamper, a backstage tour and two VIP tickets to any a day on the green concert of their choice next summer. So enter into the fun, and get into your Aussie-themed attire for the day.
Roundhouse Entertainment Director Michael Newton said: "We're obviously thrilled with the response to the show. To have close to 6000 people attending is a great result and we look forward to having a ripper day."
Armidale Dumaresq Council's Manager of Economic Development, Tourism & Marketing Kevin Abey said: "The inaugural a day on the green is probably the largest event of its type to ever be held in Armidale and it is shaping up to be a fantastic day. I estimate that there will be well over $600,000 (excluding ticket sales) injected into the local economy with a number of businesses and not-for-profit organisations benefiting from the event. I am looking forward to the possibility that a day on the green will become one of the largest annual musical events in the Northern Inland region."
The series of Oz Rock shows began on the weekend at a day on the green's winery in the Clare Valley, SA with 7000 fans rocking out at a sensational concert. The tour moves to the Hunter Valley this weekend before reaching Armidale on Saturday March 10.
As this is the first event to be held in Armidale, there is important information that everyone attending needs to be aware of. a day on the green is a general admission concert and so patrons need to bring picnic rugs and deck chairs. There is no seating.
Patrons are encouraged to bring their own picnic food or alternatively purchase on site from quality local providers. The winery is a licensed venue so strictly NO BYO alcohol. For full event information, click here
Edwards Coaches are running shuttle buses from all around Armidale to the winery, including from the Visitor Information Centre and most motels, returning immediately after the concert. There are a few final tickets remaining to the concert, for the General Admission Front Reserved Area at $125 and for General Admission $89 plus booking fees.
