ANNOUNCES THE SECOND ACT TOUR – ENCORE SHOWS
A DAY ON THE GREEN
MOUNT COTTON, BOWRAL AND BAROSSA VALLEY

WITH SPECIAL GUESTS KATE MILLER-HEIDKE, DAN SULTAN AND RUBY FIELDS
TICKETS ON SALE TUESDAY 3 SEPTEMBER

Roundhouse Entertainment, in conjunction with Frontier Touring, is thrilled to announce one of Australia’s most beloved performers, MISSY HIGGINS, will make her long-awaited return to a day on the green for three final encore performances of The Second Act Tour in Mount Cotton, Bowral and Barossa Valley this November and December.

Over the last five months MISSY HIGGINS has criss-crossed Australia, attracting unanimous raves for The Second Act Tour. This uniquely evocative live show celebrates the 20th anniversary of The Sound Of White with Missy performing that landmark album in its entirety after a stripped-back opening set featuring songs from her forthcoming album – The Second Act.

With the new release finally landing on September 6 (via EMI Music Australia, pre-order here), Missy today announced a handful of encore concerts to bring this memorable tour to a thrilling finale including three spectacular a day on the green encore shows: Sirromet Wines, Mount Cotton, QLD on Saturday 23 November; Saturday 30 November at Centennial Vineyards, Bowral; and Saturday 7 December at Peter Lehmann Wines, Barossa Valley, SA. These performances mark Missy’s first time headlining a day on the green since 2006.

Tickets go on sale on Tuesday 3 September at 11.00am local time via Ticketmaster, with AAMI customers’ presale and a day on the green members’ presale beginning Friday 30 August at 11.00am local time.

The Second Act Tour – Final Encore Shows will include some of Missy’s high-profile musical friends as special guests – Missy will be joined by KATE MILLER-HEIDKE in Bowral and the Barossa Valley, and DAN SULTAN joins the lineup at Mount Cotton. Joining Missy at all three a day on the green shows will be RUBY FIELDS.

These will be some of Missy’s biggest headlining shows since 2005 when The Sound Of White was riding high. It’s a phenomenal way to cap off what’s been a massive year for Missy, which will include her induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame in November, as announced last week.

“I never imagined it would take me most of 2024 to do this Australian tour,” Missy confesses, “but it’s been such a great experience on every level that I’m glad the band and I will get to share it a few more times with all these big crowds. There have been lots of fans posting about how disappointed they were to miss out on getting a chance to see this two-act show so now they’ll have no excuse!”

Despite selling out 40 dates so far, most tickets for The Second Act Tour were snapped up within minutes, so these encore shows will provide one last opportunity to discover why this unique live concert has attracted gushing critical acclaim such as:

“A profound emotional rollercoaster” – The Courier Mail

“Loving Higgins and what she refers to as her ‘bleeding heart’ is an easy thing to do” – Sydney Morning Herald

“An unforgettable show where audible sobbing filled the silence between songs” – The Examiner, Launceston

“Euphoric … trembling back and forth between heartbreak and operatic excitement” – The Guardian

“It feels like she’s playing in her living room to a bunch of friends, raw and unfiltered” – The Music

“Missy Higgins' Newcastle show was not just a concert; it was a communal experience that showcased her growth as an artist and a person” – Newcastle Live

“Her heart-wrenching honesty about life, love and grief has made her into one of Australia’s most cherished artists” – The West Australian
