It's been years of hard work but lately it seems The Wolfgramm Sisters are everywhere, gracing the stages of many our favourite artists: from Sharon Jones to Dan Sultan, from touring with JET to turning up the heat with Jo Camileri and Ross Wilson at their recent retrospectives and let's not forget Melbourne's two fave spectaculars: Rockwiz and Countdown. And if you haven't seen them live, well, no doubt you've heard their beautiful voices on Little Birdy's latest piece of brilliance.
And now, the girls are letting the rest of us in on every musicians secret , releasing their self-titled debut album of stomping early seventies and sixties classics ,many of the very same songs that they grew up singing together. Songs that will have you fossicking through your wardrobe for your flares and giving out daisy halos to complete strangers. Songs you know and some songs you don't, including two Al Green infused little beauties of their own!
If you caught their opening performance at The E.G awards and their kick-out-the-jams version of Gimme Shelter alongside the wonderful Dan Sultan you'll know what you're in for. An unmissable night of explosive vocal performance supported by many of Melbourne's fave musos including a killer horn section to boot!
